The following article was in the November 10th issue of the Beaumont Enterprise. In the days following the news that Dawson Marine is closed, there has been several other boat dealers from this part of Texas celebrate Dawson Marines closing. We do not see any reason or cause for calibration. Especially when the livelihood of our fellow Texans will be interrupted. BREAKING: Dawson Marine in bankruptcy, closing

A bankruptcy filing by Dawson Marine should be finalized by this afternoon and all stores will close permanently, according to employees at both the Jasper and Beaumont stores. A Beaumont employee said he's trying to get customers with property at the business to come pick items up before the store closes. "We were told that today's our last day," said the Beaumont employee. "Thanksgiving's looking really grim." A message left with the Beaumont store manager, Wesley Dawson, has not been returned. Dawson Marine sells and repairs boats and boat accessories. The business has locations in Beaumont, Jasper and Houston.


So… Please… Pray for the Dawson’s and all of their employees who are going through a hard time. Give thanks to God for all that we have in this Thanks Giving Season… PDM

Boat Financing

Just a few comments on the bank and finance thing... Here in South East Texas there is no so called bad economy/bank/mortgage crisis. We can still get a Mortgage, Buy a Car, Get a credit card and YES even buy and Finance a Boat...

There are banks and credit unions wanting to arrange boat loans with most of the same stipulations that we had a year ago... If you feel that you can afford a new or used boat or any thing else, it's business as usual here in South East Texas... PDM 10/30/2009
